On Wednesday, 29th, April, 2009, Her Highness Shaikha Jameela Bint Mohammed Al Qasimmi, vice president of Family Supreme Council & general director of SCHS, hosted a delegation that was headed by the Australian consulate wife Mrs. Sue Heweh. The delegation also included Mrs. Leanne Langmead, Wendy Lewis, Jenny Black, and Helen Schroder. The main purpose of the visit is to take a closer look at the services provided for people with special needs by SCHS. After Her Highness Shaikha Jameela finished her meeting with the delegation, she accompanied them along with Mona Abed Kareem, Ahmed Hamadi, Osama Mardini, Halah Naser, and Hazem Shihata in a tour inside the different departments and sections of SCHS.
The tour started in SCHS's School for the Intellectually Disabled. Mrs. Mona Abed Kareem has given a detailed explanation about teaching methods used to educate the disabled. Then, the delegation moved to SCHS's Vocational Rehabilitation & Training Department where they have listened to a briefing about the hand crafts, which disabled students perfect in order to help them make a living after graduation.
The Australian consulate wife Mrs. Sue Heweh assured that what she has seen was beyond her expectations. The intensive work of SCHS to rehabilitate and educate people with special needs is done in a systematic scientific way. In addition, the employees of SCHS are very devoted to their work.
There are no basic differences between the institutions in Australia and SCHS in relation to services and programs provided for people with special needs says Mrs. Sue Heweh. This contributes to the welfare of the community in which the disabled work togather with the none-disabled for the best interest of their country.
Mrs. Sue Heweh has deeply thanked Her Highness Shaikha Jameela Bint Mohammed Al Qasimmi, vice president of Family Supreme Council & general director of SCHS, and the workers of SCHS for their enormous efforts in rehabilitating and educating people with special needs in United Arab Emirates.
The rest of the delegation's members were so happy to see the advanced level which SCHS has reached in providing services for people with special needs.
