A sport entertaining activity with the participation of Daid Youths Center

On Wednesday, 13^th, November, 2008, SCHS's Boarding School students invited the members of Daid Youths Center to participate in the sport entertaining activity they we're having. Daid Youths Center delegation has responded to the invitation. Guests were received by Mr. Salah Oda the general supervisor, Mr. Khalid Noofal the activities supervisor, Mr. Adhim Qasim, and Mr. Hazim Dahee Shihata the journalist.

The activity started with a speech in sign language by the student Salam Abdullah in which he had welcomed the delegation and expressed the feelings of joy for having them over in order to allow integration between normal and disabled people. The speech was translated by Mr. Salah Oda.

Another speech by Mr. Khalid Noofal the activities supervisor, followed in which he had explained about the various activities, programs, and services provided by SCHS's Boarding School to its students in order to integrate them with normal people in competitions that aim at entertaining them rather than winning. Mr. Khalid Noofal has deeply thanked Mr. Salah Oda for his consistent concern about the students SCHS's Boarding School.

Mr. Hassin Hamad & Mr. Mohammed Hanbal sports teachers at Daid Youths Center have assured that the center was very concerned in participating disabled students with their sports activity in order to help them integrate into society. He added that there has been previous cooperation similar to this one between the two institutions such as the football tournament, which was organized in the holy month of Ramadan.

Furthermore, a football match was held between the team of SCHS's Boarding School and Daid Youths Center team. The match was won by the former team 5-4. Regardless of the result, both teams did well. The match referee was Mr. Salah Oda.

The two teams competed also in basketball and water ball in the most cheerful atmosphere. Then, everybody enjoyed dinner, which was prepared by SCHS's Boarding School. Finally, guests were sent home with lots and lots of gifts and souvenirs to remember this pleasant day.
