A meeting between the School for the Intellectually Disabled & Parents' Board

On Wednesday, 22^nd, October, 2008, SCHS's School for the Intellectually Disabled held a meeting with Parents' Board at the administration building. The meeting was headed by Mr. Mona Abed Kareem. This meeting is part of SCHS preparations to launch the informative campaign about mental disability under the slogan 'I am your son, so I belong to your family'. The campaign, which starts in 1^st, November, will last for one month.

In this meeting, a discussion was made about the role of Parents' Board in coordination with the program of School for the Intellectually Disabled in order to come up with organized activities for the campaign. The activities, which include lectures, flyers, and brochures, are going to target preparatory schools and parents' centers in Sharjah.

Mr. Mona Abed Kareem, head of the School for the Intellectually Disabled, pointed out that the meeting cradles for the mutual cooperation between School for the Intellectually Disabled and Parents' Board for the best interns of people with special needs.

Finally, this is not the first campaign which the School for the Intellectually Disabled organizes. There were two previous campaigns in November, 2007 and in October, 2008. Hopefully, this campaign will be as successful as the previous ones.
