H.H Shaikha Jameela Bint Mohammed Al Qasimmi, vice president of Sharjah Family Supreme Council & general director of SCHS, received a 1350000 AED check from Mrs. Safa Abed Ruhman Bu Khatir, a member of the board of directors of the school for creative sciences, as a generous donation to Sharjah Center for Autism. This donation, which is the sum of the 7th, Charity Festival organized by The International School of Creative Sciences, is part of its commitment to help the local community.
H.H Shaikha Jameela Bint Mohammed Al Qasimmi has shown the feelings of appreciation to the administrators and workers of the school. This big amount of money is a clear indication of the enormous efforts paid by the organizers of the 7th, Charity Festival to challenge the current critical financial situation in order to help socially empower the disabled.
Her Highness said: "this annual donation represents a kind gesture by the school of creative sciences, which has been supporting humanitarian work with its noble initiatives for ages. It is committed to help disabled children and take on its responsibilities in order to improve the lives of the powerless.
Sharjah Center for Autism is in need for help more than ever as the number of infected children is increasing in United Arab Emirates. These activities help introduced this disorder to the public. This money helps provide better services such as early intervention, rehabilitation, education, and therapy to autistic children".
The 7th, Charity Festival, which was sponsored by Dubai Sports City, Bu Khatir Group, and Sharjah Satellite Channel, received enormous attendance during its three days by individuals, who were generous in their donations. The festival was full with activities, which were entertaining and informative. It contained a wide variety of handmade products, toys, books, and souvenirs. Visitors had the chance to choose any of these products to buy and support the disabled.
The International School of Creative Sciences, which is an educational pioneer institution sponsored by Bu Khatir Group, organized the charity festival for the seventh year in a row because it has a great concern for supporting people with special needs. It is indeed a clear indication of their noble spirit.
On the other hand, the school organizes this activity yearly in order to support nonprofit organizations working in the humanitarian field. Some of its previous donations went to Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation, Senior Citizens Homes, and SCHS. However, this year donation went to Sharjah Center for Autism, which is part of SCHS.
Mr. Jihad Abed Qader, head of SCHS human resources department, pointed out the significance of this festival. The International School of Creative Sciences has a great concern for motivating students to volunteer in humanitarian work, which strengthen social solidarity. It has been working hard to keep the soul connection between its students and the disabled students strong, which make them, accept each other.
Mr. Jihad Abed Qader, head of SCHS human resources department, showed the feelings of appreciation and gratitude to the International School of Creative Sciences and Bu Khatir Group for their precious trust and generous donations for seven years to institutions working in the humanitarian filed such as SCHS, which has been working for more than 30 years to provide services for people with special needs. Hopefully, other institutions will follow the steps of Bu Khatir Group in its noble work.
