A course in sign language

On Saturday 31, October 2009, SCHS's Boarding School organized a course in sign language for the workers and employees of the city. Mr. Salah Oda, sign language interpreter in SCHS & Sharjah satellite channel was the lecturer. The main purpose of this course is to train the workers of SCHS on the proper way to communicate with boarding school deaf students. The course focused on some terminology in relation to the wise teachings of Islam, some necessary words such as colors, the names of vegetables and fruits, etc. the course also explained how to ask a deaf person about his age and name.

Mr. Salah Oda decided to dedicate a whole day each month to revise what has been taught to students. He will also answer the questions and inquiries of the workers of SCHS in relation to sign language. The corps has been successful until now. Hopefully, it will carry on in the same pace.
