bullet A painting contest about clean environment

06/11/2008

On Thursday, 30th, October, 2008, Al Amal Kindergarten & School for the Deaf with the cooperation of BMW, MBJ, and Philips corporations organized painting contest in order to spread awareness about maintaining clean environment and pure water. The students of Al Amal School presented their ideas about the subject through drawing.

Mrs. Natalie Noorkiava, head of BMW marketing department, pointed out that this event is being organized for the second year in a row with the cooperation of SCHS because the corporation believes that people with special needs have all the right to express their ideas in such an important matter.

Mrs. Natalie said that students' great will to participate passionately in the contest and symbolize their ideas about the subject of pure water is a beyond doubt proof of their awareness of the surrounding world. Therefore, it is very necessary to encourage people with special needs to express their ideas in order to enrich the mutual work between the different categories of the society. She highly appreciated the ideas shown in the paintings and promised to make an elegant calendar out of it.

Mrs. Noorkiava thanked deeply SCHS's students, employees, and workers for their good taste and concern for informing people about clean environment and planting these principles in their minds, which will affect their future conduct.

Mrs. Heena Bakhit, general director of MBJ, pointed out that the main purpose of today's activity is to integrate with people with special needs by exploring their potentials to express their ideas through paintings in addition to cheer them up.

She highly appreciated the extraordinary interaction students have shown in this activity. They have a magnificent way in expressing themselves through drawing. Mrs. Bakhit wished for the cooperation between SCHS and her company to continue in the future.

Mrs. Khadeja Bamakhramah, personal assistant of SCHS's general director, thanked deeply all the corporations for sponsoring this event. She highly appreciated the great awareness of these companies in the importance of spreading awareness among the disabled about global issues.

At the end of the activity, presents were given to the top five winning students. They are Nashwa Assad Taha (the School for the Intellectually Disabled), Somia Abed Yussif & Hassin Abdullah Ahmed (SCHS's Kalba Branch), and Ahmed Ali & Ebrar Ahmed (SCHS's Khorfakhan Branch).
