On Thursday, 6th, November, 2008, SCHS's Al Amal Kindergarten & School for the Deaf science group organized educational activity as part of its monthly habit of emphasizing one subject of the subjects taught at school during a whole week. The activity, which aims at identifying the positive effects of healthy food on our lives to students, was supervised by Mrs. Khansah Muhuo Physics teacher, Mrs. Fatin Radwan Chemistry teacher, and Mr. Fauroz Saqer Biology teacher.
The science group has toured SCHS's administration building, Al Amal Kindergarten, the School for the Intellectually Disabled, Vocational Rehabilitation & Training Department, and the Center for Early Intervention. During their tour, they displayed some samples of healthy foods such as dates and milk. A sound mind is in a sound body.
SCHS's Al Amal Kindergarten & School for the Deaf students' participation have the greatest influence in the minds of the other students. The positive interactive students have shown enabled smooth transition of information to others.
The physics teacher Mrs. Khansah Muhuo had assured that the main purpose of this activity is to motivate SCHS's students to stick to healthy nutrition habits, which will be reflected positively on their academic performance.
She had also pointed out the important role of parents in supervising their children's eating habits by guiding them to eat healthy food in a way that does not harm the digestive system.
The other two teachers were glad by the extent of response they have received from the students, workers, and employees of SCHS during this activity.
