bullet 2 Representatives for SCHS in Sharjah Children's Consultative Council

On Wednesday, 4th, February, 2009, Sharjah Children's Consultative Council organized the opening session of its 11th circle at Sharjah Consultative Council conference hall. SCHS participated with two representatives, nojood Abed Rahman (SCHS's School for the Intellectually Disabled) and Sultan Swaidi (Al Amal Kindergarten & School for the Deaf).Sultan Swaidi participated in the discussion by pointing out the important role of educational organizations in introducing the issues of environment protection to the public. He gave an example of schools, which have the very first role in planting those principles in the minds of youngsters. Students were affected by the various activities organized inside and outside the school in relation to this subject. He concluded by saying that school's programs must be linked with surrounding environment.

Mrs. Fatma Muri, head of Dubai Educational Institution, responded to Sultan's contribution with affirmation. She pointed out that schools have two important roles. The first role is to raise children on good manners, while the second one is to teach them various kinds of sciences.

She added that morals and good manners help students comprehend their material properly. Students' cooperation with school has the greatest influence on fulfilling targeted objectives such as planting the noble principles, which direct behavior to the right path in the minds of youngsters.

Mrs. Fatma Kabi, head of SCHS's social work department, said that SCHS is very concerned on having representatives in Sharjah Children's Consultative Council because it strongly believes of its distinguished role in introducing the issues of people with special needs to the public.

She added the Sultan Swaidi's suggestions correspond to SCHS policy about environment protection. SCHS has been working intensively on the environment protection subject by organizing all sorts of activities. Finally, SCHS will do its best to fulfill these suggestion.
