The School for the Intellectually Disabled received its students

On Tuesday 6^th, October 2009, The School for the Intellectually Disabled opened its doors for students after finishing all maintenance work. The school nurse measured the temperature of all students along with teachers and supervisors in order to make sure that everyone is fine. Then, classes were in order. Teachers met with students and asked them about the holidays and their activities in the holy month of Ramadan. They gave them special gifts in order to plant the desire to learn in their hearts.

The school was very concerned in finishing maintenance work early enough to begin classes. It also had a prime concern in the we'll being of students and their health. Classes were cleaned and a special room was dedicated for quarantine.

The New Year began with making evaluations for all students in order to determine the proper individual plans for each one of them. Sharjah Educational Zone provided fulltime music teachers for the school.

The school is doing its best to reach the highest level of education by coordinating with all institutions in relation. SCHS workers believe that teaching the disabled is the responsibility of everyone.
